Description
The Blank Firing Impact Grenade (BFIG) was designed for many training and live fire scenarios, from basic handling of ordinance and familiarisation to hostage release to the
honing of specialist skills such as CQB and room clearance.
Each unit comes complete with full instructions, 9mm adaptor and 12g housing. The BFIG contains no explosive material while unloaded and this will allow for cost affective
storage and transport.
The impact diversionary grenade is not a flash unit. When using blackpowder blanks there is only a dull yellow flame emitted.
Construction and Operation
The BFIG is constructed from high quality steel, anodised black with a black polypropylene lever. It is designed to be hand thrown and will only explode on impact making it
intrinsically safe for recruits.
The BFIG will also explode on impact from falling while set as a booby trap on to door handles, roller shutters or dragged by line
from its safe position.
The BFIG contains a mechanism to fire a blank cartridge when dropped at any angle onto a hard surface from a height of a metre or more. Firing will occur in any combination
of positions only on impact.

The cost of a twelve bore saluting blank in the UK is around £0.30p, this offers unrivalled saving when compared to all other training units on the world market
to date.
